The JOOMLA^os template exists to bring the desktop enviroment and the web closer together. JOOMLA^os is a JOOMLA! template but can also be used just as easy for other templates. Make sure to check back frequently for updates and improvements to the JOOMLA^os!

The template is available for download to all members of the Beautyindesign.com Tutorial Club, sign-up for instant access to high quality tutorials and the template.

Features of 1.0:

Joomla 1.0.x compliant (note: some modules and components are changed slightly on this site, read more information about this)
Draggable/Resizable windows
AJAX integration for custom links without page loads - read more on this
Effects such as live font resize, opacity, window resize, etc.
Tested in Firefox and Internet Explorer 6 and 7
All effects powered by MOOTOOLS (moo.fx, etc.)

And, my humble opinion: Why so many themes/apps/widgets try to copy the MS windows style? We see that often in linux window manager themes and in web based applications. Looking "just like" a MS product is really the last thing i would try to achieve (This is not a "MS_is_evil" thing, i have the same opinion on MS windows based applications who try to look like a MacOs one...)

A brand new product should have a brand new look of his own :)

I don't think it's stupid. I often try to do things without a precise goal: i'm just doing them to practice myself. As an exemple, this template is a wonderful"practice" (exemple) for uses of Mootools and other AJAX content.
